iDAB brings digital radio to iPod party

iDABIt’s another first from Intempo; the iDAB is a unique new device to meet the growing demand for DAB access on iPods. Plug the compact iDAB into the base of your iPod to listen to DAB digital radio on the move or dock it in your iPod speakers to play interference-free DAB at home or in the office. The iDAB will be available in colours to match the latest range of iPods and will retail for £59.99. The iDAB will be on sale in December from high street and online stockists including Comet and Amazon.co.uk.

“Intempo customers love their music and we are always looking for new ways to enhance their listening experience. Intempo was the first to converge iPod speaker-docks with DAB radio with its RDI and the iDAB continues this trend; being the only DAB accessory currently on the market with dual iPod and dock functionality,” said Katie Richards, Marketing Manager at Intempo.

The iDAB is less than 40mm square and couldn’t be easier to use; simply connect it to the base of your iPod and switch it on. Play, search and scrolling for stations are all controlled by the side buttons on the device and the four line LCD screen displays information such as radio station or song details. 10 presets are also included to save favourite stations.

The iDAB also has a docking connector so it will sit directly in your iPod speakers enabling you to listen to DAB radio aloud.

Richards summarised, “The iDAB is great value; it’s pure plug and play digital radio on the move, as well as being unique in having the docking station connector enabling DAB playback through your iPod speakers any time, anywhere.”

The iDAB is compatible with the complete iPod family of products apart from the Shuffle.
