On the recent launch of Apple’s new iPod Touch, Claudine Beaumont at the Daily Telegraph comments: “the lack of a built in radio, digital or otherwise, is a bit of a shame.” ROBERTS RADIO, pioneers of DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting), has the solution to this with the launch of a new iPod accessory that allows users to tune into DAB and FM radio via the iPod.

In shops from October, robi is a discreet DAB radio with a wired remote that plugs into the iPod allowing users to listen to DAB and FM radio via the iPod. As well as operating the radio function, the wired remote allows you to control music playback, adjust volume and skip forward/back within a playlist . So with the addition of a little accessory the iPod becomes a personal DAB/FM radio.

There is no need for the UK’s 13 million iPod users to buy a new iPod unit, robi is compatible with the iPod and iPod Nano. Power runs off the iPod so there is no need for additional batteries.

Says Leslie Burrage, Chief Executive at ROBERTS: “The launch of robi is a whole new concept in DAB. It introduces the vast iPod audience to the benefits of DAB and provides a unique way of listening to DAB radio.”

For just £50, robi brings the DAB radio network to your iPod.
